When you submit a transit report, the app may collect:

  • Your report details (description, incident type, station, and train line)
  • The location you choose to submit with the report
  • An anonymous Firebase-generated device identifier used to prevent duplicate confirmations and abuse

ROAR does not require users to create an account and does not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or payment information.

Location Information

ROAR requests access to your location to allow you to submit accurate transit reports and to display nearby incidents on the map.

Location access is optional. You may deny location permission, although some features may not function as intended.

How We Use Information

Collected information is used to:

  • Display user-submitted transit reports
  • Show reports on the interactive map
  • Help prevent spam and duplicate interactions
  • Maintain and improve the reliability of the app

Data Storage

ROAR stores report information using Google Firebase. Data is transmitted securely using industry-standard encryption.
